Privacy notice

This is a summary in English. The official version is our Privacy Policy in Japanese. If there is any difference, the Japanese version applies.

What we collect

When you rent a car: your name, address, date of birth, phone number, email, driving licence details and a copy of your licence or passport, flight and hotel details for pick-up, payment details, and information about any accident or traffic violation. Some cars have a dashcam, and all cars have a navigation system that keeps a destination history.

When you use our contact form: your name, company, email, phone number and message.

We do not collect your Japanese “My Number”.

How we use it

To take bookings and carry out rental contracts; to check driving licences and keep the records required by law; to bill and collect payment; to deal with accidents, breakdowns and traffic violations; to answer enquiries; to improve our service; and, only with your consent, to send you information by email.

Sharing

We do not give your personal data to third parties without your consent, except where the law requires or allows it (for example, enquiries from the police). If there is an accident, we share the necessary information with our insurance company. If you book through a booking site, we share booking information with that site.

Cloud services

We use cloud services provided by companies in the United States for email and document storage, and take the safety measures required by Japanese law.
